Who is buying CPPAs ?

Client structure so far

• Mostly large global corporates with clear green self-commitment acted as CPPA's frontrunners
• So called RE100 initiative with 131 companies reflecting 159 TWh/year electricity demand
• Sector wise IT, banks, insurance, tourism, fashion, retailers 

Medium and small size clients

• Advantages of corporate PPAs should not be withheld from medium and smaller sized clients
• Larger pooling on the offtaker side would enable smaller clients to participate
• Projects are available from 10-15 MW on
• Adequate pooling strategies should be applied

Structuring Advise

• For most corporates (including large ones) electricity handling is not core competence
• Particularly in the first phase it might make sense to look for external advise
• This can be given by ERS

Balancing and ancillary services

• Balancing and anciliary services might be sourced out to the energy producer or a third party
